Artist Statement
Collectors and previous buyers of my art tell me that my pieces invite them to reconnect with the aspects of their essence which are peace, happiness and presence.
I am infinitely familiar with how art can take us out of our busy minds for us to receive through our senses - thereby helping us relax into our bodies and our essence of authenticity.
As a young adult, when I lived in Denmark, I would go as often as possible to 'Louisiana Museum of Modern Art' - this was where I fell in love with acrylic paint as a medium. I would feel warm and fuzzy in my stomach when I looked at colourful abstract paintings with several layers and delicious textures!
Today I use acrylic paint as well as oil sticks.
Living close to nature and swimming in the sea all year round has influenced the shapes and colours in my work.
